Our Curriculum Statement

At St Mary Cray Primary School, our curriculum aims to develop the whole child so that every child can achieve their personal best.  We deliver an ambitious curriculum that is accessible to all learners, including the most disadvantaged and those with special educational needs (SEND).  

Each subject is taught as a discrete lesson so that children can build their comprehension of subject-specific knowledge and skills and value subjects in their own right.

Our curriculum is underpinned by our school and trust values of Ambition, Collaboration and Equity.  It was designed by subject experts and is regularly reviewed to include the most relevant learning for our children.  Our high expectations, the use of oracy throughout school and the challenging of stereotypes in all subjects further prepares children for life beyond the classroom.
